Ashish is a disabled, freelance journalist who covers news, current affairs and sports stories specialising in disability, equality and diversity issues. Ashish’s disabilities are side effects from various brain surgeries he’s had since the age of six to remove a brain tumour. His first brain surgery was on 28th February 1992 to remove a pineal teratoma. Further surgeries to remove the tumour took place in 1996, 2004 and 2009, and as a result Ashish suffers from Epilepsy, Left Hemianopia, balance, co-ordination and disorientation problems as well as speech problems. Despite numerous barriers Ashish achieved a Bachelor Of Arts Degree in Film and TV Production and a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism. He founded his company in 2012 and produces important news stories covering a range of issues. In Addition, Ashish supports a variety of causes including Mencap Liverpool and Bold Rangers JFC.
