Diversity Marketing Campaign Award
Bristol SU supports students to deliver campaigns that promote diversity and inclusion within their community. In 2016/17, Bristol SU undertook research into why black students were not achieving as highly as white students at the University of Bristol. Students told Bristol SU that there was a lack of role models in the University community and they did not feel like they were included or belonged at Bristol. Together with the University, Bristol SU has made this a priority to address. The University has included the BME attainment gap in its Key Strategic Indicators. Bristol SU has recently produced a “BME Powerlist” of 100 inspirational BME figures from Bristol. The Powerlist has been printed and distributed by Bristol 24/7 and is now available across the city.
