Clarion Housing Group has developed a unique training resource to give frontline staff the tools to deal with diversity and inclusion issues and to promote fairness in all that they do for their residents. Over the past three years, Clarion has rolled out an established and ongoing resource. Their bespoke Train-the-Trainers Programme gives senior leaders from their in-house repairs service, Clarion Response, the tools to train their operatives and teams in Diversity and Inclusion. This approach ensures that both the managers and operatives are trained, with the added benefit of improving presentation and facilitation skills among their managers. Some of Clarion’s Tier one Planned Investment Contractors have also joined the training. To date, almost 50 of Clarion’s managers from its in-house repairs service, Clarion Response, including the senior management team, have gone through the programme.
