Constabulary ranked as one of the most Inclusive Employers in the UK
Cheshire Constabulary has been ranked 13th in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers list for 2018/19.
The list recognises the efforts of organisations that have begun their journey to attracting and retaining a truly diverse workforce – achieving equality, diversity and inclusion at its purest form.
The list was compiled by a dedicated panel of judges, who made the selection using evidence on a combination of topics, including recruitment procedures, training and a host of diversity related initiatives.
Cheshire’s police and crime commissioner says the award is recognition of the constabulary’s continuous dedication to diversity, equality and inclusion.
David Keane said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the constabulary and is testament to their commitment to increasing diversity within the workforce to ensure the make-up of police officers, staff and volunteers is truly representative of the communities it serves.
“Having a diverse workforce increases the constabulary’s potential to build trust with all communities throughout Cheshire, which will improve its ability to tackle crime and support victims.”
The results were announced at the Inclusive Companies Awards in Manchester on 15 November 2018.
