Over the past eight years\, she has specialised in transgender health\, supporting more than 800 transgender and non-binary individuals\, as well as their loved ones\, through assessment and psychotherapy. In collaboration with community members\, Laura co-authored Gender Affirming Therapy: A Guide to What Transgender and Non-binary People Can Teach Us\, a resource designed to foster a deeper understanding of gender diversity within clinical practice. Motivated by witnessing systemic inequities in healthcare for gender-diverse individuals\, she co-founded Affirm (www.affirm.lgbt)\, an online training platform dedicated to equipping healthcare professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver compassionate\, equitable\, and high-quality care to queer people.
