The landscape is changing at Dixons Carphone plc. What once was a male-dominated sector is now shifting, but not without the help of inspirational and exciting role models like Heidi Woodhouse. A working mother of three, Heidi has climbed the ranks to become the MD of Dixons Travel, driving diversity and inclusion and increasing the female management team. Heidi is also an inspirational mentor to women throughout the organisation and externally. But what makes her really stand out is how she has led the charge for gender equality at Dixons Carphone through her Gender Agenda. With the blessing of the HR Director, Heidi initiated a comprehensive research programme to demonstrate the commercial value of D&I to the organisation and secure board-level sponsors for her agenda. This work resulted in her ground-breaking gender parity report containing recommendations rolled out across the business.
