LCpl Priscilla Quansah

ICA18 Shortlisted Nominee.

Employee of the Year Award

LCpl Priscilla Quansah initially came to the UK as a rep for Youth with a Global vision (YWAGV) in 2009 to attend a youth leadership conference. She returned in 2012 and subsequently joined the Army as a chef, later re-trading as a Human resource specialist. Initially as a Unit rep of the Army Bame Network, Priscilla encouraged and where possible sign posted BAME service personnel to the right people for help when required. She organised a Cultural date for over 250 soldiers to inspire others to talk openly and engage, which resulted in raised awareness of cultural, race and faith diversity in the Unit. In addition, Priscilla advises, mentors and encourages service personnel on self-development. She became the JNCO rep of the Bame network this year, thus giving her a stepping stone to be able to approach higher ranks on issues concerning personnel.
