As a network LGBT+@Sky has a clear vision to “change hearts and minds; make society more LGBT+ inclusive.” To do this they focus on connecting, inspiring and educating people within Sky and their customers so they can have a bigger impact on a wider audience. They celebrate events, share stories and talk about the tough issues with their employees, consumers and the wider industry. The network empowers over 80 champions across the UK and Ireland to bring local events to life, while Sky’s network of over 1,200 LGBT+ Allies has been powerful in amplifying voices to further inclusion, help people in the coming out process and start conversations. LGBT+@Sky delivers a positive message on D&I to campuses for over 20,000 Sky staff, and to the screens of several million customers through TV advertising and content, encouraging all to ‘Just be’.
