Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion at HS2 (High Speed Rail 2), Mark has delivered numerous diversity and inclusion projects in the UK and internationally for organisations ranging from The Financial Reporting Council and Sheffield University to Bermuda Hospital Board and the BBC. He has extensive experience across all areas of EDI practice including strategy development and managing sector wide D&I initiatives. Mark created the multi-award winning HS2 Inclusive procurement model, managing supply chain EDI performance. Mark set out a vision for how HS2 would improve standards of EDI across the infrastructure sector, developing new tools, programmes and delivering impact. Last year, HS2 was named the VERCIDA No.1 Gender Inclusive Employer in the UK and is the first organisation in the UK to achieve GOLD level against the Clear Assured accreditation framework. Mark’s strategy is certainly influencing the sector to improve practices.
