Shrenik Sanghrajka

ICA19 Shortlisted Nominee.

Mentor/Sponsor of the Year Award

Working to combat the lack of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematical (STEM) fields, Shrenik co-founded 1 Million Women in STEM (1MWIS) in 2018. He found that the most influential way to encourage more females to enter STEM was by promoting female role models. Shrenik created a global network of women in STEM and a supportive community for female empowerment who mentor the next generation. Shrenik has persuaded high profile women such as MPs and Nobel Prize winners amongst many to be part of 1MWIS, share their story and inspire the next generation of girls to know that they too, are the future of STEM. Shrenik has also turned his attention to breaking another stereotype, men and mental health. Spurred on by the sadness and prevalence of suicides in younger men, Shrenik founded 1 Will Talk Mental Health, an organisation which aims to share the stories of men and mental health.
