DVLA
Most people know the DVLA for the work we do providing driving licences, car tax and number plates. But the work our people do at the DVLA is far wider reaching than that. Our award-winning services are helping to make people’s lives easier, while the great work our people do maintaining registration and licensing documents of drivers in Great Britain help to keep UK roads some of the safest in the world.
DVSA
We are the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, and we are one of the four executive agencies that make up the Department for Transport. We employ approximately 4,600 people across Great Britain to help us achieve our goals of keeping Britain’s roads safe. We carry out driving tests, approve people to be driving instructors and MOT testers, carry out tests to make sure lorries and buses are safe to drive, carry out roadside checks on drivers and vehicles, and monitor vehicle recalls.
MCA
We are the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), and we are one of the four executive agencies that make up the Department for Transport. We are a team of 1,150 staff and 3,500 volunteers. Our headquarters are in Southampton and we have offices and co-ordination centres around the UK coast. Whatever skills you may have, we can support your development throughout one of the many rewarding careers at the MCA, where we make a difference and contribute to saving lives.
VCA
We are the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA), and we are one of the four executive agencies of the Department for Transport. We improve vehicle safety and environmental protection on UK roads. We do this by robust testing and certification of vehicles to internationally recognised standards. We are regularly on the lookout for new and talented people to join us.
