Introduction

Touchstone, a mental health and wellbeing service provider based in Yorkshire, has secured second place in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers Report for 2024/25. This recognition highlights Touchstone’s strong commitment to inclusivity across both its workforce and the services it provides.

Founded in 1982 in Leeds, Touchstone was established to support vulnerable individuals experiencing isolation and distress. Over the years, it has expanded significantly and now provides mental health and wellbeing services to about 10,000 people annually across Yorkshire.

Touchstone’s success in fostering an inclusive and community-focused environment is driven by its initiatives, partnerships and policies, which set an example for other organisations aiming to improve diversity and inclusion.

With around 250 employees, the charity understands that it holds a unique position as a major community service provider. They have demonstrated a strong commitment to sharing their resources, knowledge and influence with smaller, grassroots organisations.
