About The Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers
Being inclusive makes business sense. But until now it has been hard to identify the best employers when it comes to diversity, equality and inclusion.
This long-awaited league table of the most inclusive employers in the UK finally shines a light on best practice across all strands of diversity – age, disability, gender, LGBT, race, faith and religion.
So why is this so important? Well, research shows that more diverse organisations perform better and they are also better places to work. However, until now it has been very difficult to identify which organisations put inclusivity at the heart of their business.
Complied by a dedicated panel of diversity and industry leaders, the list will be collated based on each organisations performance on a range of areas within the diversity arena.
In difficult and challenging times, using the talent of a diverse workforce is more important than ever. Considering the diversity of your workforce and fostering an inclusive working environment can bring business benefits and provide a market advantage. This tough climate has led us to take a fresh look at how we can promote employers that lead in their business case for diversity.
Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers will engage with UK corporations and organisations across all sectors to highlight the benefits from the growth of diverse employees, and recognise those that invest massively in this ethos.
Powered by The Excellence in Diversity Awards, The Inclusive Top 50 Employers is a definitive list focusing on representation at management, senior, executive and board level, as well as inclusive cultures at work and within communities.
Organisations featured in the rankings will have to provide sufficient evidence of their inclusivity practices in areas such as recruitment procedures, training and a host of diversity-related initiatives. Only members of the Inclusive Top 50 will have access to the survey, which contains 21 key questions which will be marked on a point’s basis from 1-10.
Submissions for 2018 opened in conjunction with The Excellence in Diversity Awards on November 30th 2017, a ceremony honouring inclusive employers across charity, education, housing, public and private sectors.
High ranking organisations will receive the Inclusive Top 50 accolade, split into charity, education, housing, public and private categories. The unveiling of the list will take place at the Excellence in Diversity Awards ceremony itself in 2018.
The need for The Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List is evident; it is necessary that we demonstrate businesses that have reaped real benefits and why, and encourage other companies to prosper by thriving with a diverse and flexible workforce.
