Facilitated by Jess Rad | The WomenHood
This 60 minute session exposes the often hidden and unpaid demands of caring – from raising children and supporting neurodivergent loved ones to looking after aging relatives, partners, and pets. Speaking from her lived experience as a solo mama and parent carer of two children, along with others stories to diversify the experience, Jess brings a candid, human lens to the emotional and logistical pressures carers face, showing how these responsibilities affect wellbeing, productivity, and retention in the workplace.
Drawing on research, personal insight, and best practice, Jess outlines practical steps organisations can take to recognise and reduce the burden, close support gaps, and embed care-aware strategies into everyday culture.
